Start your day with a nutritious sugar-free breakfast

If you are a person who loves to eat foods filled with added sugar such as muffins, toaster sweet cereals, doughnuts, cereal bars, and pancakes in syrup, then you are not making a healthy breakfast.

Breakfast is considered as the most important meal of the day, because this fuels you all throughout the day. Thus, it is also essential to consume nutritious meal to sustain your body with energy. A morning meal can include sugar-free whole grains, protein and healthy fats that will surely add energy to your body.

While foods with added sugar are naturally mouth-watering, it is important to note that these sugars add to the calorie level in your diet, but do not have nutritional value in your body. It can also heighten the risk of having type 2 diabetes, heart-related disease and other related diseases. That is why sugar-free breakfast meals were introduced to avoid such conditions.

Why start eating sugar-free breakfast? Not only that it adds nutrients in your body, but also it can lessen the risk of you getting sugar-related diseases. Starting your day on eating nutritional meal for breakfast free of added sugar will help you to have a healthier lifestyle.

You can include omelet made with your favorite vegetables and eggs, or egg whites, or any egg substitute, together with a whole grain toast. You can also try for peanut butter and banana on whole wheat bread, or a grilled low-fat cheese sandwich.

Other sugar-free meals for breakfast are low-fat cream cheese on a whole grain bagel and smoked salmon, or nuts mixed with plain low-fat yogurt and frozen or fresh berries.

But if you are on the rush, you can have a low-fat mozzarella sticks and low-fat cheddar cheese cubes or whole grain crackers and fresh grapes. You can also make your own combination of your favorite dried fruits, almonds and walnuts.
