Cookies have been a popular option for snacking for every child and adult. They have been a good choice, especially when the cookies are well-baked. But because people have increased awareness of taking in less sugar and maintain a healthier lifestyle, they rather not eat food that has a lot of sugar including cookies. However, sugar-free cookies were made to satisfy and let those sugar-conscious people eat their favorite cookies.
SUGAR-FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Ingredients: 1 egg, ¼ cup water, ½ cup natural sweetener, ½ cup softened butter, 1 cup all-purpose flour, ¼ cup non-fat dry milk, 2 ounces diced dietetic chocolate candy, ½ tsp baking powder, ½ tsp baking soda, 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation:
In a bowl, cream together the butter and the artificial sweetener.
Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
Add baking soda, baking powder, non-fat dry milk, and flour. Beat for about two minutes.
Add the diced dietetic chocolate candy. Mix the mixture very well.
Drop the dough by a teaspoon on a non-greased cookie sheet.
Bake in the oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes. Wait until the cookies are golden brown.
Put out and enjoy.
SUGAR-FREE OATMEAL COOKIES
Ingredients: 1 cup oatmeal, 1 cup whole wheat flour, ½ cup raisins, 1 cup unsweetened applesauce, ¼ tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp ground allspice, ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, 2 eggs, ¼ cup chopped nuts, ¼ cup water, ¼ cup vegetable oil, 1 tsp vanilla extract, salt to taste
Preparation:
In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients. Mix and beat thoroughly.
Prepare small balls about the size of a walnut. Place them on a slightly greased cookie sheet. Press them down using a fork.
Bake them for about 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 350°F. Wait until the cookies turn golden brown.
Put out and enjoy.
